The Manheim Township Music Association is a volunteer organization chartered to supplement and support all music programs of the Manheim Township School District.
Mission Statement:
The Manheim Township Music Association is dedicated to promoting and supporting music education for all students in grades K–12. We believe that music is an essential part of a well-rounded education and a vital expression of creativity, discipline, and community. Our mission is to enhance opportunities for students to learn, perform, and appreciate music by providing advocacy, volunteer support, and financial resources for the district’s band, orchestra, and choral programs.
Music Education in Manheim Township –
- Kindergarten – 4th Grade – Music Class once per six day cycle
- 5th – 6th Grade – Music Class for one semester (45 minutes per day)
- Optional – Chorus, String Orchestra, Band
- 7th-8th – Nine weeks of music class (49 minutes per day)
- Optional: Chorus, Concert Band, Orchestra
- 9th-12th Grade – 1 credit of “Arts and Humanities” towards graduation requirements
- Optional: Chorus, Concert Choir, Troubadours, Band, Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Guitar, Keyboard
